I had that problem with my previous phone. Turns out it was water damage. That's when I got this phone. The telus guy warned me that the LG 8100's are especially sucseptible to water damage and that even sweat from your face while talking on it on a hot day could potentially be dangerous. I took it as a line to try and sell me a case for it (he recommended I get a case for it in his previous sentence), but maybe he was right......

I have been told that the 8100 and sammy a950(or any bluetooth phone that does not support OBEX) would nto be able to connect to PC(to use BITPIM for ex) through bluetooth connection. IS this true????

Hey guys, I can't get BitPim to work anymore. Everything was working perfectly fine, I had just uploaded some games using the instructions I got from the game hack thread (thanks a lot, btw, I got a lot of games to work perfectly fine). Then I plugged the phone back in and started BitPim and now it's telling me it can't communicate with my phone. It lists the cable as an "Unnavailable port". I don't know what's wrong. I've tried in vain to fix it. Any sugestions?

any thoughts on where the settings might be for the blinky alert led's? I wouldn't mind having that flashing during the entire call...

That's the first time I've heard anybody want to keep the lights ON. I just want mine turned off! Not sure how this is accomplished though.

I love the blinky lights, that is one of the main reasons I like the 8100 over the a950
