    Orange Spain?

    Hey guys,

I'm going to spain in a little bit and i was wondering about Orange in Spain....

I had heard that they were in development or possibly renaming Amenia to Orange Spain, so if anyone has any information i would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

I'm not a fan of Vodafone Spain, but they are possibly the cheapest, and orange just seems like a better company from past experiences with Orange France.

I searched both Orange.com and Amena.com and couldn't find any mention of such a change. Orange.com doesn't even list Amena as being a shared network in which they hold a partial stake.

Where did you hear about this?

Interesting, then Amena must have been part of France Telecom's portfolio all along. It's almost like the Vodafone SFR deal where they market all of the Vodafone products but still stick to the SFR name.

I realize this thread is quite old, but I did some research myself about Spanish carriers as I'm participating in a study abroad program this summer. I was looking for the GPRS settings for Orange and stumbled upon this

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_Espa%C3%B1a

It seems as if Amena was purchased by France Telecom. Does anyone have any more recent settings for connectivity? All I could find was

    GPRS APN: - internet
    Username: - CLIENTE
    Password: - AMENA
    DNS: - 213.143.33.8, 213.143.32.20

I'm curious if those are still functional or if there are new settings.
