Is this still working for you, I spoke to Vodafone and they said the P910i will not work with Blackberry on Vodafone ?

Sounds fishy I know, but thats what they said, anything you can tell me otherwise?

    Thanks!

Still working for me on Vodafone.

If you try and get a blackberry sim off someone who's got a blackberry, put it in your phone and try these instructions that I wrote

BB Connect on P910i on Orange Network

Has someone already test BB Connect on P910i on Orange Network, and specially in France. It seems that Orange specify that BlackBerry solution need Blackberry PDA.

    An answer should help me.

    Thanks for your help

Lie, phone Customer Services and tell them you've borrowed a 7100v and you would like to try Blackberry for a month.
The settings at their end should be the same for what is needed to get your P910 connecting.
After that follow the instructions on these forums.

BB on P910i - Orange france says NO WAY

I've Orange France technical support if BB Connect on P910 would work and the answer is clearly no. I cannot find any reason why this is not possible as it works with other networks.
Has anyone an experience of this configuration.

    Thanks for help !!!!

Like I've said, if you want it working for Web Mail, you need to know just two things:
    a] your networks blackberry APN
b] your networks blackberry webmail website address

once you have these, phone up your network, tell them you've got a Blackberry 7100 web client you are testing, and want your SIM cards account enabled.
Alternatively, find somebody with a Blackberry enabled account SIM and stick it in your handset.

Your phone will generate the PIN, and send it to the blackberry webserver which will be updated, once you get the book sent to your phone visit the web mail site and register your IMEI and PIN for a new account.

there should be nothing that the network would notice that wouldn't make them believe that you aren't using a Blackberry handset.

    good luck

    Blackberry Security

Please ignore the last post as I got that all figured out, however.....

I have a question for you all regarding blackberry security

I have followed all these instructions and now have blackberry push email happening on my P910 which is great.

The fact that you have to enter both Pin# and IMEI# makes me wonder if blackberry can tell that you are not using RIM hardware. My service provider set me up a blackberry data package no problem, and the settings in this thread worked perfect.

Any thoughts as to getting in trouble from Blackberry?
    Thanks in advance,
    Martin

there said to be a BB connect version 2.54.4 that works with firmware R5A04 being released by a telco (M1) in Singapore for SE P910i

unfortunately, not downloadable from any website.

it is possible for both RIM and your service provider to tell if the handset you are actually using is a Blackberry handset, however the chances that they will look are slim.

blackberry have removed the bar that stopped non blackberry units from being used on their webmail site, and you'll find the Nokia 6810 and 6820 that were sold as blackberry ready will now work too.

Which is the fastest way to get emails?

Thanks for the reply, I was not too worried as it works so well, just curious.

    On another topic.
Which is the faster way to get emails?
    1. to set up pop3 accounts in the blackberry website as posted in the original thread?
    or...
    2. Get the email forwarded from the pop3 email to my blackberry address ie. [email protected]?

    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

Also when I set up a pop3 account to forward my mail to [email protected] the postmaster forwards the header and then the content as an attachment (we use novell groupwise). When I try to open the content of the message it states that only the header has been downloaded and asks me if I want to download the message, when I say yes it tries to then it is refused.
    Any help would be great
