I've always wondered about this option. Lets say you take a video of your girlfriend saying "Pick up the phone". Could that video clip play everytime she called.
That's the example for videotones. I was wondering if the 8000 has that option. If not, sounds hackable to me. I'm planning on upgrading from the 6000 to the 8000. Hows reception? The date cable, is it a 3 slot like the 6k or 2 slot like the 7k? Can you take video with the phone closed? Anything else new to post you lucky lucky man?!?!

Sounds like a cool feature however, what will you see it on? The outside screen is too small to make any noticable video feature. Also, this isnt just the 8000 but could be 7000 to. The MP3 thing, how do you do it? Do you connect the USB data cable and bam its that simple?

I am also extremely interested in how the MP3 functions of this phone will work.

Is is true what I hear about not being able to plug in a regular set of headphones?

That picture is nice... but not to the quality of those posted a while back from the Korean counter part. I am curious if it is becuase you took the picture at a higher resolution so it lost quality. Are the pictures as grany when taken at smaller resolutions. (Its still a nice pic btw but not like those micro shots taken before)

You're right, it does not seem as good as the lp3000, but I have yet to see some real outside, good-sunlight photos like those posted of the lp3000.

The picture above is worlds ahead of anything offered in the US to this day. I will definetly be buying this phone, granted its not priced like verizon prices its PDAs .

Personally, I disagree with you there... at 128 x 160 pixels, the 8000's external TFT LCD is just as large, if not larger than many phones main LCD. IMO, quite impressive for a phone's sub LCD.

I was able to access the internet earlier today, but now I keep receiving a network error message.
Did you try QPST? I sincerely hope it wont be like the cdm9900 where the only way to get pictures off the phone would be to email them. This would severly hurt the vx8000.

if u can access the filesystem u can get the picture off..

i did find a option in my phone where u could change it to upload pictures instead of the pix service verizon has it can send it to any ip and just use airtime.. personaly i would like to see somebody make a server that this will work on.. alot easier than even a wire.. and people can just unload there pictures once a nite during n&w mins

Hey RMG007, can you tell me if you can use the speakerphone with the phone closed? And also, tell me how the MP3 ringer volume is.
