I'm on Android 14 Beta October patch and the 2263 code still works on my S23 Ultra. It's an easy work around to bypass the "RAT Selection option is restricted" screen. No need to pop the SIM.

The *#2263# code will allow granular band selection. So if you want to force your phone to only select, for example, n5 or LTE Band 12, you can do so. Whatever you want to enable or disable can be done.

The network type just allows NR or LTE or Both. And the one in the … menu that supposedly sets bands has never really worked for me.

Thank you for sharing the solution that worked for you. This should be helpful to others as well.

It would have been helpful and a quick fix if OP would have stated he was using Google dialer, Lol. Most of the codes stopped working last year on that app.

As a heads up for AT&T and Verizon customers, they now send provisions at the time of activation to disable those menus. Both carriers have worked with Samsung to get them disabled, The only menu I know of is #011# to show band info but that's about it.

T-Mobile I believe is the only carrier left that does not block these menus.
    Home Entertainment: T-Mobile 5G Home Internet, Roku Streambar(Sound Bar/Roku all in 1).

Mobile Entertainment: AT&T Unlimited Starter for primary device, AT&T Starter Family line for secondary.

Didn't work on my Samsung S23 Ultra on Verizon postpaid, got an invalid MMI code message instead.

The 2263 band selection menu has always been blocked by the SIM provisioning on AT&T, but I've seen that code work on a few devices with FirstNet SIMs.

Verizon started blocking all dialing codes after the update on the Galaxy S3 or 4, I can't remember which, when they enabled B4/XLTE, I believe. There are a few ways to skirt this, one being the Samsung unlock tool, which re-enables all of these menus on Verizon. There is also an easy work around to get 2263 working on AT&T as well as you can see on my S23 Ultra:

I still got the same error message. I am not concerned in the slightest.
