AT&T Moto G Pure sale at Walmart

Just did a search and found at my local Walmart they have the AT&T Moto G Pure 32gb for $29.00 clearance. In the photos it shows an offer for $9.99 with in store activation of a monthly plan (cheapest shown $30 w/5gb data). Expires 6/11/23.

It may not be offered for the sale price everywhere but if interested you might search it to see if a store near you has it on sale.

The store listing is within door dash distance of my location. I don't think they'll ship for the price, just pickup & delivery.

The Cricket version Pure was $24.00, even less.

I assume the Walmart one is locked?

Does it activate on ATT MVNOs?

It would be locked for the usual six months of AT&T service, and then you could request unlock, but locked AT&T phones work for me on H20.

I was able to unlock the AT&T LG Neon Plus 2 I had on an H20 SIM for a year. Before I put it on the H20 SIM, my unlock request was refused.

The $29 Pure showed as being out of stock on the website for awhile but just now shows as in stock again (at the local store because it's an in store item for pickup or door dash only).

I read some of the recent reviews and there were quite a few that weren't scanned properly at POS (point of sale). They were activated but then suddenly no service, or they couldn't be activated.

Best if a person goes to the store to pay for it instead of having it dashed, might be scanned properly if the cashier is reminded to scan the codes.

^This, if you buy online Walmart never scans any devices at the warehouse and so they will never activate due to the scan that is need to activate them so always buy instore.

Also, Moto's lack of eSim support across the board is abit concerning.

I had the same problem with Target. Ordered a Play for in stock in-store pickup. When it went out of stock, they shipped it to me. Activated and worked on Red Pocket briefly then got suspended and flagged as lost/stolen. CS unsuspended it but then got flagged again shortly. Eventually, I had to wait until it was back in stock in-store and exchanged it.
