Yes, I figured the Stylus would have the nicer view. You own one so you would know how good it is. I believe I will choose that one.

I really like the screen on the Moto G Play. I can read pdf's with the phone turned sideways without having to scroll back & forth like with some of my phones that have sub 6" screens, like the LG Fiestas.
That was why I was thinking a larger phone like the 6.8" Stylus would be worth getting.
The quality of the Play screen is good for what I use it for.
The WiFi seems a bit weak at times and cuts out moreso than my other phones. But it's my biggest phone.
At one time I was afraid a 6" phone would be too awkward to handle, back when I was using Moto e5's and the e6, the LG Solo, etc as my main phones, but now the bigger the screen the better as long as it's good quality glass and touch accuracy on the keypad.

I've been using the non-whitelisted G Power 2020 on RP/GSMA since January, mostly as a hotspot but have tested with text and talk. I also have a Moto e (2052DL) on another GSMA line since Aug '22 for d/t/t. Both are unlocked TF branded models. So, it seems RP isn't enforcing the whitelist stringently. Heck, even last year, I was still using a ZTE ZMax 2 as a hotspot on RP (Android 7). Probably still work now if I needed it to. Just wanted to get some use out of the G Power so I swapped out the sim.
obs=1
Very useful info. I should get an H20 SIM just for testing unlocked phones. I have an H20 SIM but it's a number I don't like experimenting with.
I did have a RP annual plan, it was running on T-Mobile GSMT but I let it expire. Very cheap plan @ $30/yr but every month it prompted me to renew. It was a null message but was annoying.

I have an unused number parked on the GSMT plan. Never had an issue resetting - knock on wood. Originally, it was a one month promo kit I bought just to try their GSMT; I decided to keep it and added the annual plan. At first, the renewal date was set for 30 days instead of 360. Got on chat with CS and she fixed it, no problems since. This was back in Aug. Guess I was lucky because I've read about issues like yours and they never seem to get permanently fixed for some reason. I'll be curious to hear how your H2O test turns out. Don't know if it's just RP being slack with the whitelist or the MVNOs in general.
As far as I know, the whitelist enforcement is not up to the MVNO / captured subsidiary or reseller.
It is supposed to be enforced by the upstream mothership MNO in this case AT&T
Sometimes phones might work for a while, but a periodic sweep then knocks devices off the system. Not just whitelist itself, but wrong type of device mismatch with the plan type, TOS violations etc.
AI getting involved makes these more draconian / effective from the providers' POV, stop the MVNOs from profiting off their lax-er activation procedures.
Just found a Moto G Pure on clearance at local Walmart store for 29.00 pickup & door dash delivery only. It says if activated in store on AT&T on a monthly plan, it's 9.99. Might not be on sale everywhere but it expires 6/11/23 so if you need an AT&T branded phone, Google it. Maybe you'll get lucky.

TracFone has it with a years service for about $100, probably quite a bit less than factory unlocked, and a TF refurb could probably be had for half that.
The AT&T clearance model for that price is a real steal and might unlock after half a year on AT&T.
I got an AT&T phone unlocked after a year on H20 Wireless. I'm not sure if it's because it runs on AT&T or because AT&T was just done with the phone because they don't sell the LG Neons anymore.
The lesser resolution of the Pure wouldn't be a problem if it's at least as good as my 6.5" Moto G Play. It makes a great eBook reader.

I'm happy with my Pures. Visible had a $100 gift card rebate after 3mo that made it free
I've activated 20+ Visible lines with it for phones that falsely failed their IMEI checker.
If you value 1.5 TF GB at $15, $35 for 1500 T&T, $50 for the year of service
the phone is free and unlocked at 61 days
The value of the phone with service bundle can be looked at as either/or. Either you get the phone free and pay for the service, or you get the service free and pay for the phone.
The AT&T sale sold out of stock at my location. Woops. Gr8 while it lasted. It's out of stock on the website but says its in 200+ shopping carts at top of the page.

Just saw a Samsung a11 refurb on TF website for 19.99, plan purchase required, and returned in a few minutes to look at it again. Sold Out already. It said it was 6.4" with 32gb internal storage.
The refurb Moto G Play seems about the best deal at 39.99, but the refurb Stylus is 49.99.

The AT&T Pure I saw for $29 clearance at the local store seems to show as in stock again, but the reviews have quite a few stinkers for clerks not scanning the codes properly.

WheelieBoot, it's interesting reading how you use a Google product (GV) to distribute photos over Wi-Fi to your other devices that run GV. But you have numerous other options to do that, the best of which would be using Google Photos, which is likely already on your Android devices. You wouldn't have to share space on every device you have for the same photo. It's even likely at least one of your Android devices already uploaded some or all of your photos on a given device to your free Google Drive allocated space of 15 GB. I do believe however that having a photo as a part of a GV text message (essentially using that as a storage location) uses up that allocated free storage as well (I don't fully understand the implications). But using Google Photos centralizes your access and should make things easier to manage. On newer devices it also is the local photo app, replacing the older Gallery-type apps. Maybe you already know this and have your own reasoning for how you implement things.
