So it is in fact active. Drove out to it and could see it was there and I could get 5 bars. Just strange on the other road its not a very good signal.

Hello,
We see a new rogers tower here thanks to the good old Canadian Cell Tower map. But visiting the cottage this weekend, it appears the tower isn't actually active yet.

Any one with inside information know when this tower might be active? It's strange since I thought the government website this site parses only included active transmitters.

@Class, thanks for keeping us posted! ^zf
Wow - RogersHelps responds on here.
Quick question .. why does most of highway 108 (from highway 17) on Ontario show 5G ... except the actual city of Elliot Lake (3 sites.. one highway 17/108, one the vacant airport are 5G, the city itself = 4G LTE-A)
AT&T... your world, throttled.

I can understand your desire to connect to the 5G network in your city. We are working to expand our 5G coverage areas so everyone can benefit from faster 5G speeds. You can see out 5G coverage map here: https://www.rogers.com/mobility/network-coverage-map. Once 5G is available in Elliot Lake we will ensure the map is updated. ^zf
