No, free, if you can get on the internet some how, pc or something, go here, to many numbers to write down if you call.

I think I just unlocked it all online! I followed the instructions and entered 2 long numbers and then it said device was unlocked! Is that all I had to do? It seems TOO easy lol. Thanks so much for that. I really appreciate it!!

So all I need to do now is sign up with Tello and use my current phone? If so that's wonderful!

BTW is there a way to check in my settings to ensure the phone is indeed unlocked? I can't believe it was that easy to do!

What happens when I call the number? Do they ask for payment or anything to unlock it?

I just called and the recording said a 35 min wait for a rep. So I assume you have to talk to a live person. I'll call back in the morning and see what comes of it. I really like my Moto Pure so if I can easily unlock this and use it for Tello, that would be great!
Go to this site and enter info at bottom of page. If it is eligible for unlock it should give you the codes.

Tello says this when I enter my IMEI

"This phone is not eSIM compatible."

Does that mean I can't use it with them?

Never mind, I think I see what it meant because it also says "This phone is compatible with Tello network.". So that just means I can only use a physical sim card right? I don't know what an eSim is, but I just wait for the physical card to arrive in the mail then?

Tracfone website says I have 456MB of data so I can't be empty of that. I'm at a loss...but the LTE light did go bold and it SAYS i'm connected....could it be an outage on Tracfone's part?!
Make sure the VZWINTERNET apn is actually selected. Also you can try setting the Network mode. If set to Global, try LTE/CDMA or vice versa.

The Tello plan I chose is $11/month for 2GB and unlimited text which is perfect for me. I am at the checkout stage but want to wait for clarification from experts here. After I pay the $13.68 ($2 for sim card plus 68 cents tax) today, they send me the sim card and all I do is remove the TF one and insert the Tello and that's it?

If so, i'll go ahead and pay it, but will wait fro confirmation from the experts here!!

If you have a phone active on a plan whether or not it's unlocked doesn't that prevent a person from using the phone on another service until the current service expires and is no longer associated with the phone? Does anyone know from experience?

Sent from my LGL423DL using HoFo mobile app

When I entered my address in the coverage map it said i'm good. I live in Kissimmee, FL and i'm sure that location is good for all the carriers.

The phone will have to be unlocked first. The phone will not accept the Tello sim until it is unlocked.

I followed the instructions from the link in the previous message above and had to enter 2 long numbers and then it said my device was unlocked. So I should be good to go now right? I received confirmation that the phone was indeed unlocked.

Is there any way in settings to confirm it?

Your good to go, most likely your getting a new number, if it don’t work out you can stick the Trac sim back in.

Put in a non-TF SIM if you have one (doesn't need to be active). If the phone doesn't reject the SIM (e.g. saying Invalid SIM) then the phone is unlocked. You can also enter #TFUNLOCK# again. If the phone says "Already Unlocked", then it's unlocked.

I believe it is indeed unlocked! It says "Choose Network" in mobile networks in the Settings menu and T-Mobile is one of the choices showing in the list so I can pick that when I get the Tello sim card right?

The other choice showing is Sprint.

And also in the list is:

    313100
    &
    Extended

    I don't know what those 2 are?
