    Visible+ 50 gigs priority

So we just upgraded to the + for the extra $10 a month for $35. So far so good based on the 50 gigs of priority data. Getting about 250mbps speed. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the 50 gigs of priority is only on the 5g, and the 5guw has unlimited priority. Is that correct, or am I just dreaming? 🤨
    Thanks

5G UW has tons of capacity so it probably does not make any difference, priority helps when the network gets congested which is typically irrelevant on 5G UW

if 5G UW is is always prioritized i would assume the 50G is a count of all usage combined so if say you used 50gb on 5G UW you would have lower priority rest of the month on 5G

Yes 50GB is inclusive of all RF bands.

So if you are using lots of data (especially 600-800GB on average like me), not worth paying more for Plus.

But if you happen to be getting 5Guw afterwards, that and only that traffic avoids getting deprioritised. Nothing ever gets throttled except hotspotting (and even that sometimes not)

For me, V cannot be a primary daily carry, depri makes it literally unusable for several hours most weekdays.

So we have the Pixel 6a. It is NOT the special Verizon one that cost $50 extra, however where we are now it constantly reads 5Guw on the screen, so I guess we are getting 5Guw?
That being the case if I understand you right, as long as we are on 5Guw we will not be deprioritized even after 50gb. Is that correct?

    Thanks

    Correct.

But it does count toward using up that quota so soon as the signal goes otherwise you are subject to depri just like the base plan

Sounds perfect. We full time in an RV so we hotspot alot! So as long as we have 5Guw we are good. Most of the times even in deprioritized areas we still are ok, but its nice to know if UW is available we definitely are good to go. For sure worth the extra $10 a month!

We can only use Visible for downloading, timeshifting loading up the library. Average 600-800GBs / mo, go through a cell router hotspot.

Depri at rush hour often becomes unusable, so not suitable as primary.

And not enough UW to make plus worth it.

So I have been trying to figure out how we are getting UW since we don't have the "Verizon" version of the Pixel 6a. Apparently it does have the c-band but not the MM wave which Verizon counts as UW also. So does Visable + count the C-Band UW if we have it not to deprioritize us?

Sorry to keep driving this in the ground, I'm just completely confused. Lol

Pixels only have one universal model like USA iPhones.

Google does not allow lock-in shenanigans.

Easy enough to test your question if like me the congestion times are obvious and predictable.

My son had a 100+GB game archive to DL yesterday 8-)

My Galaxy S23 Plus, on Visible+, shows 5G UWB when I am using C-band, while at home. I'll get around 500Mb/s download speeds.

These speeds are just on the phone? Hotspotting even on the + plan is still limited to 5Mbps down?
Visible (by Verizon) receive $20 off the first month. Please use referral code: 36csHv - https://www.visible.com/get/?36csHv

I will be Judged on how I helped the poor, sick & others in need; strangers & loved ones alike.

    My plans:
    Visible (Verizon) UTTD $25/mo
    T-Mobile Gold Rewards $10yr exp 12.25.23
    FreedomPop (AT&T) Target $4.99 once 100 TTD a month each 29th

Yes, what gave you the idea that allowed hotspot speed ever increases?

It's truly unlimited GB per month, FOR CHEAP that is the only advantage of Visible.

The depri and throttling is part of the price you pay.

Yes. Those speeds are just on my phone. With a Hotspot it's limited to 5Mb/s.

At home I have FiOS gigabit Internet. But it's just amazing to me that I can get 500Mb/s download speeds over cellular now, at home. Not that long ago, I could only get a Verizon cell signal in only 50% of my condo. And where I could was only one or two bars. Now I get a signal everywhere (three or four bars) and it shows up as 5G UWB.

I think Visible is a great secondary backup option, I use AT&T as my primary on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. I recently upgraded to the Visible+ I think its a fair deal.
