You will still have access to 5G via NSA, you just can’t do pure 5G standalone. Newer SIMs are required to support the new encryption methods SA uses.

Sounds like they might be in testing phases in your area?

It's been enabled here on all their n77 sites for some time, but they aren't letting many people onto SA right now. I'm guessing, that when they widen to 80 MHz they should start allowing more devices onto SA.

Anyone know if SA is available in the Birmingham market, I did some online searching and HoFo but didn't see any info about it. Unless I read it wrong on the att website they have a coverage map showing SA availability and it says SA available at the Birmingham airport and Hoover Metro Plex I believe. My phone doesn't show any SA network being online (S21 Ultra) just band 77.

    Are you referring to "5G+"?

AT&T hasn’t enabled SA anywhere, except for some enterprise customers who have opted into testing.

Not 5G+, I know that's still NSA on band 77 if I'm not mistaken. I was wondering if the standalone 5G was available or being tested in the Birmingham market (AL)
