Is there a good AT&T plan for living in Mexico half the year?

Wondering about living half the year in Mexico, and being able to receive calls on my current USA number.

Is there a good AT&T plan if you plan to be in the USA ~190 days a year and Mexico 175 days a year?

The current unlimited plan seems to say that if more than half your usage is in Mexico in a 60 day period, your service there could be restricted, so that doesn't seem like it would work. Is there another option?

Thanks very much -- that looks much better & easier than I had feared, I think.

Maybe the restriction that I thought I saw before that more of your usage can't be international than in the US during a 60-day period only applies to other latin-american and international destinations, and not to Canada and Mexico? Is that correct?

At https://www.att.com/international/un...thout-borders/ it seems to say "Two countries. One network. Use your plan in Mexico like in the U.S. No catches. Only with AT&T."

So is it really this easy that any of the current unlimited plans will let me use my number & service for wintering in Mexico without an issue? That would be nice and make it much easier!

The real question is "if I stay in Mexico for six months at a time without returning to the US..."

I would not trust what AT&T says.

Get confirmation from **users** that it actually works in practice with your scenario.

Find forums for expats and "digital nomads" living there.

From my experience as a CS international rep for At&t, at the time there was a percentage of use allowed outside the domestic US, I thought it was 60% of all calls must be made or received while in the US. At&t used to cut users off for excess international usage. I know that At&t did have some generous US/Canada/Mexico plans and I don't know their current offering. I used to work on a specialty international customer support team and had a few years dealing with these types of questions. I don't think staying in Mexico for 6 months without returning to the US will be OK.

No matter what, trust but verify. I do confess that I haven't done so since 2015. Just sharing my prior experience. If someone has more up to date information, please share it with the group.
    Just another day in paradise.....

Thanks very much for all the info.

Main concern is being able to get 2FA and text/voice alerts from various accounts without having to change my number on each and every account twice per year.

Would wifi calling or texts over wifi to my USA number count towards international usage in terms of too much in volume or percentage?

I wonder if I could leave my main phone number AT&T phone at home in Mexico and have it do voice and texts over wifi calling only - if you turn on wifi calling will it prefer that to AT&T MX (?) cellular and do them over wifi, or wouldn't it work to do that?
