That be me. I was just sharing an article I found from March of 2022. I just speculated that maybe they pushed the date out and it was starting to happen now. I have no first hand knowledge nor do I care. I just figure it's going to happen before the final 2024 cut off of any TF ATT/TMO service. IMHO anything involving ATT or TMO on TF is a crap shoot. Then again, anything on TF is a crap shoot.

I have an active AT&T and T-Mob, don’t need to fully activate another.

was just curious if you were having problems re activating a pre activated card.

If a sim card doesn’t pass, you will get invalid.

I do whats possible on line, no chat.

Did you get your error at the sim card or after.

Oh yeah, it accepts the SIM number OK. Then later it gives an error. So you really need to go all the way to see if it works or not.

I see it's been some weeks since the last response of this thread, but I have a swap question. I need to get our 2 new phones activated on TF. They're both unlocked non TF branded. Our current phones have a TF/VZ SIM and the other a TF/ATT SIM installed. Can I just put either of these into the new phones for service? I do have 2 new TF/VZ SIMs standing by. It's been a long time since I've transferred service and balances from one handset to another and I know a lot of the rules have changed. I plan on doing it thru chat if it's a no go on swaps. Should I even attempt this or can I just mess things up in your experiences?

    * One of your current phone is using TF/Verizon and the other one using TF/AT&T. You have two new TF/Verizon SIMs. Do you want to keep using TF/Verizon on one phone and TF/AT&T on the other phone, or put both of them on TF/Verizon.

    * You might get away with swapping the TF/AT&T SIM into another phone, but I wouldn't swap a TF/Verizon SIM into another phone. Get new TF/Verizon SIM and do a transfer of service.

I think at this point, we're ready to admit that it's all going to be TF/VZ SIM card eventually. So that will probably be okay. I think the only reason the TF/ATT SIM still works in my unlocked phone is it's probably been swapped once or even twice before. I can't remember and I lost my notes that I always kept on my transactions). My wife's phone is a Sammy AO2s from TF that came with the SIM already installed. SO I can see that a swap won't fly there. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to cause in-retrievable problems it I did try the swap with my handset amd I could just put it back if it wasn't recognized.

One other piece of advice please. Should I put the new Keep your own Smartphone SIM in the new phone before I get on chat or wait to be instructed to do so?

It doesn't really matter. But I would type the SIM number into a text file and double-check it before going to Chat. When the rep asks for it, you can copy and paste it into the chat box and don't have to worry mistyping it in a hurry.

You can move the AT&T sim to the new phone.
AT&T and T-Mob sims are registered with sim’s not the device.
You can see that in your account under device.
Activate your wife’s phone with a new verizon sim, from your account page.

    Activate
    Keep your own phone
I want to keep my number
Follow the rest of the steps

No need to go to chat.

Was able to transfer my wife's old phone to her new one with all resources in tact and working well in about 20 minutes or slightly less on chat. This was the TF/VZ to new TF/VZ SIM transfer. Her phone went from LTE to 5G in the transfer. I'll do mine when my blood pressure returns to normal. Thanks again.

I switched last month from ATT SIM to a Tfone phone/sim combo all by myself, just follow these instructions (@jet1000 rocks!):

Since then I've probably switched phones 5 or 6 times through the page above no CSRs, all worked fine.

Maintain your blood pressure within bounds, do it yourself
