AT&T Unlimited Plus vs Unlimited Premium?

I'm currently on AT&T's Unlimited Plus prepaid plan. I'm paying $50/month for one line. Service has been good. What am I really gaining by paying an extra $35/month and going with Unlimited Premium? Is it a much better deal in terms of value?

Do you stream video on your phone a lot where the quality difference matters?

If the additional features of postpaid are important enough for you, especially with the discount for multi-line, then go with it.

I understand that my usage differs. I would rather watch my TV on my 75" TV than on a phone.
I want hotspot, but 5GB is way more than adequate for me in case I need to connect in from work or if the hotel is flakey. And I have 10GB extra on my iPad plan.

Even with a tradein discount, buying a phone over 36 months and having it locked for that time would NOT work for me. I like having both a Verizon based and ATT based line on my phone for travel coverage, and couldn't do that on a locked phone. (Though there seems to be a workaround for iPhones via apple.com). I'm about month 4 on my Apple Watch payments, and knowing I owe money on that is nagging me.

I thought my plan was multi-line eligible as well, which will further bring down the price. What about this QCI thing that I keep reading about?

As for the hotspot, I thought I get 10GB rather than 5GB?

I always buy my phones unlocked. I think I was thinking more about calling, data, and roaming perks. Too bad AT&T no longer includes HBO Max to sweeten the deal.

My postpaid iPad plan is 10GB/month.
The limited plans with hotspot support generally allow you to use the whole plan for hotspot if you wish.

On average, postpaid plans have better QCI than prepaid. Mostly it only really applies in times of congestion and I haven't noticed it as much on ATT as Verizon. But postpaid plans like Value Plus are all deprioritized. Some of the prepaid plans do better.

I'm on the Value Plus plan and I rarely see my speeds being deprioritized. From my understanding AT&T is a lot more forgiving than Verizon. Although I can just be in area that has ample spectrum for my needs.
