The topic of this thread is the Free "with trade-in" offer.

Apparently no long-term contract required, unlocked after X days then cancel.
Cancel, and then pay the remainder of the 498.00

Plus some extra trade in money. I can get $110 for my a51 5g, which is more than what I paid for it.

    I am so confused.

Offer 1 - get a free* Edge, no trade-in required

Offer 2 - you must trade in to get the free* Edge

Where is the incentive to submit the trade-in?

Exactly. As far as I can tell the only reason to do so would be if you had existing service and needed/wanted a new phone.

Yep, had to go check 1 out last night at Best Buy. Not a bad price, but waiting for a better bargain.

So many good things about this phone. Excellent screen, LOUD, rich stereo speakers & much lighter than anything from Motorola in the past few years with a fat battery.

What about 5G radio bands support from the three different networks?

I assume better than the older Moto G 5G.

But comparable to Pixel 7 or 7pro?

I suspect that the 'free - no trade in' is on 'new lines', while the required trade in is on existing lines.
I have the offer in my.t-mobile.com for replacing my (oldish) Samsung A32. It's not a bad device ... just _very_ slow for UI response. Oddly enough, it gets service where my S21 doesn't.
    AT&T... your world, throttled.

Not sure how it compares to the Moto G, but certainly not the most up to date compared to Google or Apple offerings.

    n2, n5, n7, n12, n14, n25, n26, n29, n30, n41, n48, n66, n70, n77, n78

Most 'T-Mobile' or US branded phones have specific bands and chipsets. Moto is using MediaTek 1050 - not a Qualcomm chipset, making this a cheaper device. If I compare this to A32 ... it has only n41/n71.
Unlike Apple, Google or high end OnePlus or Samsung, it has enough to 'do the job'.

Yes I am looking for particularly good VALUE 5G band support, ideally $100-150 range.

Willing to buy a separate device for each of the three networks.

Just using as a data modem, so don't care about CPU / RAM / screen / camera

As a note... Moto Edge 2022 is similar to S21 performance, but OS is closer to stock Android
