My Gmail app has a setting checked that says 6 notifications a day, 3 for Yahoo. If I uncheck these will I get all my mail notifications? Why would they limit it by default? I want all my mail notifications.
Thanks.
Another mail question. I set up mail for yahoo and gmail. It worked. About a week later I saw a setting to sync mail, so I did thinking I needed to do that. But since then I have been getting double yahoo mail. Can I delete the yahoo mail because google is syncing it and I will get it through gmail. It seems the app is getting my yahoo mail as a stand alone fetch and also gmail is getting it and sending it to my phone as gmail.
Thanks.
It sounds like you're running two email client apps (likely Yahoo and Gmail). Do yourself a favor and uninstall the Yahoo Mail app, and just use the Gmail app for both accounts. The Yahoo Mail app is large and eventually nags you to upgrade to the paid Yahoo Plus app, plus allows a certain amount of ads in to your Inbox. Just my $0.02.
It sounds like when you enabled the sync setting for your Yahoo and Gmail accounts, it may have caused your device to receive the same emails from both accounts. If you want to stop receiving duplicate emails in your Gmail account, you can try disabling the sync setting for your Yahoo account.
In the settings of your email app, look for an option to disable or turn off sync for your Yahoo account. This should stop the app from checking your Yahoo account for new emails and downloading them again.
You can also check your Yahoo account settings and make sure that the "Forwarding" option is not enabled. If it is, you can disable it, this way the emails will not be forwarded to your gmail account.
Keep in mind that disabling the sync setting for your Yahoo account may also prevent you from seeing new emails in that account on your device. If you want to continue to receive emails to both accounts, you may need to set up filters to automatically move or delete duplicate emails in your Gmail account.
