Will "Verizon" iPhone 8 Plus work on ATT or TMobile?
Have an Apple Model 1864 {Emc3160),Order number MQ962ll/A which was for Verizon. Will it work on ATT and/or TMobile?
Apple made another Model for ATT and TMobile- model 1897. It would not work on Verizon because did not have CDMA radio. Info I see show both model 1864 and 1897 have the same bands. Do not know if frequency issues.
In June 2022 I got a notification that Verizon was eliminating my access to LTE. On Sept 1 we started having problems. After 3years with no problems, calls between parties could not hear each other and would have to redial to reestablish connection.
I reset network and get LTE back, but it goes away.
This has continued to today.
My provider is Red Pocket who has WiFi calling for ATT and TMobile, but not with Verizon. I know TMobile works here, especially with wifi calling.

The ATT version of the iPhone 8 later was usable on Verizon once they stopped requiring CDMA support. There was a flag in their system to support this.
Thanks everyone for your replies. Especially reminding me about if it is unlocked.
I believe it was unlocked by Verizon when I bought it used from seller at Verizon store. However, did end up doing what I should have done initially.
I took my red pocket T-Mobile sim out of my iPhone SE 2020 and put it in the iPhone 8 Plus. Was able to call and recieve calls and texts on iPhone 8 Plus "Verizon" phone without problems. They were short calls, but since never had problem with T-Mobile assume will not later.
