I've got more phones than fingers
I use voice to text and it seems like it picks up better with a talk headset.
A large wired over the head headphone is too cumbersome (have some), and earbud mic is too hard to insert and they keep falling out. Also, I don't want anything Bluetooth because it has to be recharged.
I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a low cost mic that plugs into my OTG capable Android phone via usb port or that can operate via the 3.5mm headphone jack.
I don't need to monitor the output because if it's working, my words will translate to text and I'll see it.
I looked at mics online and some are very cheap, around $5 but am not sure of feasibility in my situation.
Preferably I want something low profile that won't get in the way of using the virtual keypad, that will be able to be aimed for best sound pickup, and that isn't long, because it'll be a short distance from my face.
I don't want something that has a long cord, shirt clip, or stand.
