I now have a Pace 5268 gateway that has a compartment for a backup battery but no battery. When I asked the tech if I could get a battery he replied that AT&T no longer supplied them.
Can these batteries be obtained anywhere? The seem to be a special battery with a special plug and not industry standard.

I have a couple of the "Battery Backup" devices that AT&T used to furnish with their Uverse gateways.
They just plugged into the power input jack of the gateway, then plugged into the wall. Inside was a standard 12 volt burglar alarm battery. It was about the size of a small lunchbox.
These things have turned up at garage sales, thrift shops, etc. Whether the power plug matches the jack on your gateway I'm not sure, you might be able to find a plug & rewire it to match your gateway.

Hello. A Pace 239-0011416 battery must be used with the Pace 5268 Gateway. This is a 12 V, 7.2 Ah battery with a dedicated connector for the Pace 5268 Gateway compartment.
However, you can also use other compatible batteries, such as the UB1280-F2 or PS-1270-F2, which are also 12 V, 7.2 Ah batteries with the same special connector. Good luck.
