Yes, do a Google search for Nokia phones. They make candybar style phones and flips still. You should research the specs and reviews before buying one to see if it meets your needs. YouTube might have reviews about a specific model.

Are these phones any good? I'm currently using a Samsung Galaxy S8 and have been a loyal Samsunger since the Galaxy S2 / Note 3 and am wanting to get an upgrade to either something Motorola, Nokia or Pixel or something else from the professionals on here

There's the Moto Razr flip on the Motorola website. It appears to flip open to a smartphone screen instead of a physical keypad with screen. The price is about $700, so it's not the old style flip.

There's a view of recent Kyocera Dura flips on their website. The price is much lower than the Moto Razr although still around $150 and up. The Kyocera phones are real flips with physical keypad.

The Nokia flips are much cheaper, priced by the service providers who offer them locked to their service. GSM Arena shows various models.

Alcatel or TCL make cheap flips also.
By "cheap" I mean low priced and the quality is pretty basic. They might be called MyFlip 2, MyFlip 3, etc. They're often locked to a service provider, but on TracFone service, now owned by Verizon, if the phone is activated it can be unlocked in 60 days.

AT&T marketed an Alcatel Smartflip that I used on H20 Wireless and it was fairly decent for a lower priced flip, around $50. Some newer flips have limited WiFi capabilities besides Bluetooth.

I don't know much about the expensive ones, I've only used the Alcatel MyFlips on TracFone, and the AT&T Smartflip.

I have had Kyocera flips and a QWERTY texter but years ago on Virgin Mobile. The last Nokia was an ancient TracFone candybar circa 2005, and an AT&T candybar from the same era. That was in the era of 2g land.

Best-Buy shows some Nokia basic mobile phones and mobile device smartphones. The ones shown on the site seem to be unlocked. Most of them are listed as "Open Box".

The candybar style Nokias I've seen on Best Buy look interesting from the perspective of someone who likes a retro device, and I might have tried one but I've heard mixed reviews on them.

Flips have the benefit of being closed instead of pressing a key to lock/unlock the keypad to avoid pocket dialing, with the option of flip to answer.

However, Candybar style phones allow the info to display on the main screen instead of having a small second screen on the flip lid which may be hard to read.

A person has to be careful to read the reviews to see how well the phone works and what features it has because store website spec listings can be faulty.

There's also the possibility the store won't properly scan the phone at checkout. I've seen many reviews mentioning that.

If a person tries to activate a phone that hasn't been properly scanned, the service provider can refuse because the device doesn't register as having been sold. The worst scenario is when the phone does get activated but then quits working. It's a hassle to rectify.

I usually buy AT&T Prepaid phones online, but now am wary of the scanning issues.

TracFone may be the best online source for unlockable phones. After 60 days, an activated TracFone can be unlocked for use elsewhere. That's been the rule since Verizon took TF over.

Have to check the AT&T whitelist before choosing a phone to make sure the model number exactly matches if AT&T is where it'll be used.

I'm not sure which TF's flip phones will work well on what networks. Since the SIMs sold with the TFs are all VZ now, it's granted that the current flips will work on VZ MVNOs. However, I like to have flips that will work on AT&T MVNOs.

I don't know if any of my TF flips will work well with T-Mo. I haven't tried it, but if I do it'll probably be Red Pocket because it's so cheap for the GSMT annual plan. First I have to activate and unlock one to give it a shot.

Currently I have two deactivated TF Alcatel MyFlips, an older one and a newer one (MyFlip 2?). The model number escapes me at the moment.

I liked my TF ZTE flips better but they ran only on TF/VZ as far as I know. Those don't have WiFi but they had a better feel. Some people reported bad call quality.

To me the MyFlips feel sort of cheap, and the menus are not as quick to go through as the old fashioned 2g & 3g phones of yesterday. Their primary plus is WiFi capability to save mobile data on updates. They also have basic apps that can be WiFi downloaded from the KaiOS store, and some are pretty good. Radio, podcasts, games, etc.

I don't have the TF TCL MyFlip but it's being sold in various places such as TracFone's eBay store (bundled with a year's service or without), possibly at HSN also. I think it's the Alcatel MyFlip 2 by the TCL name.

Remember that the original company that created the cell phone brand Nokia still doesn't make cell phones. Kind of like IBM personal computers were bought and sold to Lenova and Texas Instruments computers were bought and sold to ACER.

The current Nokia phones are not made by the same company that made the old Nokia phones. However, HMD Global has done a good job of keeping the Nokia brand alive and well.
In the years since HMD Global took over, Nokia has released a number of popular smartphones, including the Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 8 Sirocco, and Nokia 9 PureView. All these phones have found their users. It means that the brand is not dying and will continue to develop.
