Any flip phones without external buttons

is there a verizon compatible flip phone that doesn't have external buttons. My FIL misses a ton of calls because he turns the ringer volume down when taking the phone from his pocket. Then he misses the following calls until he realizes the volume is down.

the external buttons can be locked to prevent accidental pressing.

I see 4 models of flip phones on the Verizon site for $79.99 each.

Yes, me too. I have to check features on them. Most have multiple external buttons.

The odds of any phone without external buttons are slim to none. You may be able to disable those buttons in the phone settings.

    1. Maybe he could put the phone in his pocket upside down. When he grabs it, he might miss the volume button.
    2. Get a drawstring bag about the size of the phone. Use the string to pull it out of the pocket.
    3. One of those flip phone holsters.

back in the day before smartphones flip phones cost that much and even double. You didn't realize it because most people took the 2 year contract to get it for free

Pocketing upside would help, as the volume buttons are usually above the middle line of the phone. I occasionally hit that button on my smartphone, so check it often. That is not from pocket carry, which I don't do.
