Might this be a property of the MCC-MNC? Are both SIMs the same, or is one 310-260 and the other 310-240?

The first 7 digits of both SIM cards are 8901240. Actually, only the last 2 digits of the SIM card #s are different.

Is there any know usage requirement with the free plan? In other words, having to connect, or make at least one call or text in a certain period of time, or they would cancel the account for non use?

I'll check mine when I get home - the GSMT line is on a dual-SIM Nokia 6300 and only connects to 2G (riding it out while it lasts) and I noticed it was searching for service for awhile yesterday before finally connecting.

Just tried to activate a SIM bought late last year and it's giving a "Error! Sim not found"

There's an 'Activate by: 03/02/2024' date on the SIM.

Okay, I'm getting old. Transposed one of the digit (8 instead of 6), fixed it and it works now.

But it's showing 'no plan assigned to SIM' and the only free plan I can pick is the unlimited call/10 texts/25MB data (and also the ACP).

I'm glad you got the SIM activated.

But the "unlimited call/10 texts/25MB data" sounds like a FP AT&T plan (with the "unlimited call" being over WiFi calling), instead of a plan that should be tied to a FP T-Mobile SIM.

There's definitely something odd going on with your Walmart exclusive FP T-Mobile SIM card!

You probably need to call CS to get the appropriate free plan, but they may tell you it's no longer available.

Since FP is owned by RedPocket, this may be significant - I had ordered a RedPocket SIM during one of their promos. Didn't get around to activating it for quite a while. When I did try to activate it, it wouldn't let me activate on the promo plan that I had ordered. Customer service told me that's how it was supposed to work and refunded my money.

IF you really can't get the 300/1000/100/mo free plan the FP Walmart T-Mobile SIM was sold with, I think it will be the first example of FP not honoring a previously unactivated legacy SIM plan.
