Order a Phone and Plan on Sprint.com

I just saw that I can still order a phone and a plan on Sprint.com.
What would happen if I would order a new Sprint line? Do I get a real Sprint phone with a Tmo SIM or something else?

Kudos to T-Mobile for keeping the legacy site alive for folks still on Sprint plans. Any word on the billing system migration?

I strongly suspect that only current T-Mobile plans can be added at this point and only folks currently still enrolled in Sprint can keep their old plans. I migrated from Sprint to T-Mobile back when the merger was official. I didn't regret it for a moment and got a great plan at that time at a cheaper monthly rate than what I paid Sprint.
    Just another day in paradise.....

Order a Phone and Plan on Sprint.com

Since all phones for sale on the site are T-Mobile branded or compatible, they will come with T-Mobile SIMs. Sprint UICCs were supposed to be unavailable as of the end of last month, but currently active ones still work on the devices they are associated with (no guarantee they will work for long nor transfer between compatible devices).

As for the plan, the only plans allowed to be added as new lines are rebranded T-Mobile plans (Essentials, One, Max) and possibly the 2GB plan. No other plans are accessible online and telesales may not do anything different.

Billing system migration started a couple months ago, and I hear they hope to have most non-business customers migrated within a year. You have to have all lines on T-Mobile SIMs before you become eligible for automatic migration with grandfathered plans.
