Thank you. I'll sell to BBB one more time, but wait until I got paid to ship it out the 2nd phone. I guess the limit is 2 brand new iPhone 11s (with PayPal being the only payment option) if I want to avoid dealing with Form 1099-K.
Just got an email from GadgetGone. I don't know where they got the impression of a 'locked' device or 'a few' items (only 1 in the order). I don't think I will ship the phone to them, with the new payment option.
Thank you for placing an order with us! We noticed that your order consists of a few Brand New items. Would you please provide us with proof of purchase or the IMEI number(s) for your order? We have seen an uptick in brand new devices being blacklisted after sale so we want to help streamline your process and check for any financial holds or blacklist statuses that we can help remedy before your order arrives to us.
Because your order also contains carrier locked brand new items, we will need to update your payment method to PayPal. If you could please confirm an email address that we can send your payment to through PayPal we would greatly appreciate it.
I understand that most resellers want to pay by Paypal for NIB phones so they can "clawback" the payment is necessary. But why are they taking that precaution only with NIB phones and not used phones?Originally Posted by GadgetGone
I communicated with a lady at BBB about this issue last year. I couldn't get her to budge on changing the payment method to a check (which can be traced back to my bank account with my personal details). She mentioned something about NIB devices being more susceptible to fraud.
Paypal gives them free and easy insurance against fraudulent sellers.
