My last 2 sales did indeed take 5-7 business days:

    4/18/23: Delivered
    4/27/23: Paid

I shipped a NIB i11 to BBB on May 2nd, delivered May 4th, got paid on May 5th. I think ChristInMe said it took them 7 days to process his sale.

Thank you. I'll sell to BBB one more time, but wait until I got paid to ship it out the 2nd phone. I guess the limit is 2 brand new iPhone 11s (with PayPal being the only payment option) if I want to avoid dealing with Form 1099-K.

BBB offers bank transfer as a form of direct payment so that you can avoid Paypal fees and taxes..
I used bank transfer for my last sale with BBB.

I thought BBB requires Paypal payment on a NIB phone.

You are very correct, BBB accepts only Paypal for NIB devices; however, Gadgetgone, now an offshoot of BBB, accepts bank transfer for NIB devices.

Thanks for the info. Much better payment options. I'll sell them my next brand new iPhone 11!

Be careful of Gadgetgone. It is another lying, cheating company. Same as the several others that seem to populate the phone reseller business.

What happened? I got a quote but haven't shipped the phone yet. I haven't got paid for my unlocked NIB iPhone 11 from BBB, but a specialist did email me after order confirmation, and order shipped/received emails. No follow-up from GG yet.

Just got an email from GadgetGone. I don't know where they got the impression of a 'locked' device or 'a few' items (only 1 in the order). I don't think I will ship the phone to them, with the new payment option.
Thank you for placing an order with us! We noticed that your order consists of a few Brand New items. Would you please provide us with proof of purchase or the IMEI number(s) for your order? We have seen an uptick in brand new devices being blacklisted after sale so we want to help streamline your process and check for any financial holds or blacklist statuses that we can help remedy before your order arrives to us.

Because your order also contains carrier locked brand new items, we will need to update your payment method to PayPal. If you could please confirm an email address that we can send your payment to through PayPal we would greatly appreciate it.

I understand that most resellers want to pay by Paypal for NIB phones so they can "clawback" the payment is necessary. But why are they taking that precaution only with NIB phones and not used phones?

I communicated with a lady at BBB about this issue last year. I couldn't get her to budge on changing the payment method to a check (which can be traced back to my bank account with my personal details). She mentioned something about NIB devices being more susceptible to fraud.
Paypal gives them free and easy insurance against fraudulent sellers.

The only thing I can think of is that they're worried the NIB phone was obtained illegally ("fell off the truck") and the carrier/manufacturer didn't blacklist the IMEI quickly enough before it was sold to a reseller.

Did they email you the updated payment method? I haven't shipped my unlocked NIB iPhone 11 and I don't plan to.
