    Freedom new US roaming partner?

Has Freedom changed it's US roaming partner again?
I just returned to BC after a month work assignment in southern California.

On the entire trip, from the Canada-US to US-Mexico borders, I was roaming on T-Mobile.
I have been parked on AT&T down there for several years, since about the time that Shaw acquired Wind.

    Thanks.

T-Mobile would seem logical as they have a seat on the Shaw Board of Directors.

They switched from T-Mobile to AT&T when Shaw bought Freedom.
    Sounds like Freedom switched back.

Now wondering if they will switch again after the Rogers purchase goes through.

I hope not. I currently have Telus and they have/had both TMo and ATT for US roaming. The experience seems better with TMo.

Now that they came out with a $50 /40G US+Can plan I am seriously considering going back. Had them before I got serious into cross border trucking.

    Same for me.
I've been on the same Wind Smartphone 50 plan since I signed up in 2014. It was great at the start with unlimited US data. Then the plan got cut to only 1GB/month of US data under "fair use" when Shaw bought them.

I just switched to the new Canada-US 40GB plan. Now thinking of moving my T-Mobile service from magenta to prepaid voice-only service to support periodic work in the US.

So I can't comment on Freedom specifically, but here with Rogers the experience has been quite positive.

CAN + US + Mexico and its worked well for me on my trip from Toronto to Vancouver to Seattle to Cabo San Luca.

Seamless pretty much, excellent speeds and latency and the best part is in the US you can roam on AT&T, Verizon or T-Mobile. So depending on your circumstances you can change carriers to get the best speeds.
