Moto One 5G Ace - Android 11 Update Today!

My AT&T Motorola One 5G Ace received the Android 11 update today. Many were wondering if it would ever happen, considering it was introduced with, and stuck on, Android 10 in 2021, well after Android 11 was introduced in 2020.

The Verizon UW version received Android 11 last year, but I don't believe any other versions did.

Please don't ask me if there are any glitches from the update. I don't use the phone much, and won't really be testing anything anytime soon.

The update I got today said it was Android 12. I know absolutely nothing about cell phones. I am OLD and this is my first one. It has taken a long time to figure how to send a text (once I got my account straightened out and they actually GAVE me texts!)

Boy this is hard after 15 years of using an old LG flip phone!

So your phone is a Motorola One 5G Ace? Is it AT&T-branded?

    Hi,

It's great to hear that your AT&T Motorola One 5G Ace has received the Android 11 update. The update process can vary depending on the carrier and device, so it's not uncommon for some versions of a device to receive updates earlier or later than others. It's not possible for me to confirm if other versions of the Moto One 5G Ace have received the Android 11 update as it could depend on the carrier and region. If you encounter any issues with the update, it's best to contact the manufacturer or your carrier for support.

I was asking TooOld about the Android 12 update reported. Since this thread is about the Moto One 5G Ace, I wanted to verify that and also which branded or unbranded version it was.

I am aware of Motorola's poor track record of updates and the Android 11 update is old news, I started the thread last April. I have monitored Motorola official and unofficial sources for updating news. If TooOld is refering to this phone, it is the first report of Android 12 for it.

That said, welcome to HowardForums, moriischristian. We do appreciale all advice and insights.

I know this thread is old but has anyone gotten the Android 12 update on this phone. I'm running an unlocked Metro by T-Mobile version with a TracFone AT&T sim card in mine. Thanks in advance.
