What a good decent low price dual simm android phone? Recommendations?

A lot of dual SIM phones are made for the international market. Consequently most will be missing bands used in the USA. Which could cripple the phone depending on the carrier & the bands missing. Imho you're better off getting a phone made for the USA with an eSIM & a SIM card slot instead of a dual SIM phone.

To better answer your question we need more information. Who is your current provider ? What is your budget ? Any specific features that you need/want ? Is an eSIM an option ?

Ok 1st off what's an Esimm?
So current provider is H2O on ATT network.
Been getting notifications about 3G network going bye bye and
that perhaps my 7 year old One Plus One may work not so great or at all
in the near future.
My budget would be well, say up to $300 but preferable less.
I'll like the One Plus open architecture, being able to load custom ROMS etc.
I definitely want an unlocked phone etc. No contracts.
I recently moved to Oregon and have a separate number on pay as you go H2O with no data, and
I'd really like to have both numbers on one phone, and slowly fade out the old number, making the
new number the primary and put the old number on a pay as you go plan.

I've had old number since 2000 or around there and don't want to give it up ever.
I still occasionally get calls out the blue from old friends etc
I don't want to have to carry 2 phones.

An eSIM (System Identity Module) allows you to have 2 different phone #'s from different carriers on the same phone, but only one at a time (T-mobile and Verizon for example) or 2 different phone #'s from the same carrier. The most common demand for 2 SIMs are when travelling overseas so that you can use a foreign SIM for local calls and your domestic SIM for calls to/from the US. You don't have to worry about losing your prior phone #. You can have a prepaid phone # assigned to one SIM and a postpaid phone # assigned to the other.

Let's say you are using SIM #1 with the first phone #, all calls to SIM #2 with the second phone # will go to voicemail until you select SIM #2 to enable.

Bottom line is that you cannot have two active phone #'s on a phone in the US. The technology prevents in an effort to reduce potential fraud which I don't want to go into in detail at this time. The closest you can do it would require you to have a wifi connection where one phone # uses a conventional SIM and the other line uses wifi calling (Skype, Google Voice for example).

I am confirming it is possible, but it isn't easy and there are limitations. The phone manufacturers and the cellular carriers won't make it easy due to a desire to sell more phones and more billable calling plans. I do understand what you want, it's not likely to be accomplished. There are no simple solutions to accomplish your goal.

It's actually pretty easy to have 2 numbers active on US phones. Any phone that has esim capability will also still have a sim slot for a sim card. If an esim is installed then a sim card will also have service. Unfortunately, most Android phones do not have esim either built in, or operational if it is built in. Samsung has a few and that's all I've heard about but there may be others.

I currently have two esims active on my iPhone 13 Pro Max and 4 other esims on the phone along with a sim card in the slot. I can run any 2 at the same time by switching them in Settings in just a few seconds.
