    Visible BYOD?

I have been considering moving my wife and my phones to a Visible plan with our BYODs. I looked at the Visible on line compatibility checker and was surprised:

Both of these phones were bought unlocked directly from Motorola

My phone Moto G Power (2020) compatible
Wife Moto G Play not compatible

I looked at the LTE bands of both and the only difference I saw was her phone does not have LTE band 39 or 40. My phone has them but they do not seem to be used in the US.

If I have to buy her a new phone the change is not as attractive. Can anyone explain why her phone which is actually newer than mine by 6 months would not be compatible.

Another question: Does Visible have WIFI calling?

You can make most phones work on Visible. It's done by adjusting apn info. Lot's of YT videos on it.

Both should work. I'd check Visible CSR Chat. Ime they are very knowledgeable & nice.

I am a novice, I see how to access the APN settings but what do I change?

I looked a several that were to general to be a guide for a noob. I later found on that was very specific and showed me exactly what to do. Even has a text file that I can copy and paste with the APN. Thanks.

    Yes.

Also they will not let you order a SIM and service if they don't accept the IMEI of an Android phone. To get around that order the SIM/service telling them you have an iPhone. They don't ask for iPhone IMEIs.

Getting it to work on a phone that they don't accept is up to you. Some phones can be made to work by entering the Visible APN. Some won't work. My Moto G6 did not work. Don't know why.
