    weak Freedom signal

I have a weak Freedom signal where I am.
The only tower really close is Rogers.
The phone sometimes roams and connects to it but I can't make phone calls on LTE.
I seem to be able to force the phone to 3G and then it works but I can't use data on Freedom towers (when I am in a strong Freedom area).
I don't care about data in the non-Freedom area but it'd be nice to have reliable voice.

    How about WiFi Calling?

Set it up, and you can use the WiFi to place calls and texts...
(Even on cruise ships, as I have found out)

Because you would be using WiFi... Not the cell network...

Works 200miles out at sea on a cruise ship...
