    Can not send/receive pics by text

    My Samsung Galaxy S10 will not send or receive pics. I am trying to take a pic of something and send it by text. It just won't do it. People have also sent me pics by text and I can not view them. There must be a setting or something?

    Do you have data turned on ? Without data, MMS (picture messages) won't work. Text messages do not require data. If data is on, you need to check that your APN settings are correctly stored in the phone.

    Do you have mobile data or Wi-Fi Calling active?

    Keep in mind that I am using a Samsung Galaxy S21 5G with Android 11, so some features may be different from your phone.

    Check the APN settings: Settings-Connections-Access Point Names

    To confirm that data is active: 1) confirm airplane mode is not turned on 2) Same menu to check APN settings, but check Network mode from there 3) can you access the internet browser ?

    You didn't report which cellular carrier you are using.

    If none of those suggestions resolve the issue, either take your phone to a local store or try an online chat with customer service. Best wishes.

    I am not in Airplane mode.

    I see the APN menu but I don't know what to change. Nothing in there appears to be off.

    APN shows as tracfone.vzqentp

    I reset them and will try again.

    I can access the Internet.

    I am using PagePlus as my carrier on Verizon towers.

    In case you are still unable to fix your trouble on your own using help you are given here, a local Page Plus Cellular dealer-store might be in your neighborhood at which a technician or clerk could help (for a fee). Not same as any dedicated main-carrier store - this kind of store would be in the business of representing a few mobile virtual network carrier companies, one of them being Page Plus Cellular.

    For Tracfone Verizon the APN should be VZWINTERNET.

    That is different from what they have been telling me to enter. Right letter combination but there was a "." in the middle there.

    I have called tech support. They have given me information to enter in my APN settings. Nothing has worked. I have talked to 4 different agents. The last one said she was in corporate. Admitted there was a known issue. Was going to schedule something. Call was disconnected. They were closed when I called back. Gheesh! Mission today is to call again. Wish me luck.

    Start at the basics. Is this a new phone? Did it ever work? In the settings on some (maybe all) text apps you can set it up to not send or receive MMS. Also on APNs I've seen both TRACFONE.VZWENTP and VZWINTERNET depending on the phone.

    That question has already been asked and answered that data is working. My guess is that the APN needs to be updated based on the feedback so far. The correct APN has already been posted and the APN in the OP's phone is not the same.

    I tried many different times with multiple agents to set the APN settings. They were entered over and over. They just would not work. PagePlus did something to my account. No idea what. I could not fix it, they could not fix it. They even hung up on my 2 different calls. I have changed my service to Verizon Prepaid. Everything is working fine now.
