Screen casting my pixel 4a 5g to my LG tv

Hi... I am unable to screen cast/mirror my pixel screen to my LG tv. With a Chromecast device I can get it to work but when I disconnect my internet the Chromecast is no longer visible in my pixel. I reconnect the internet and it works. I need it to work without the internet. With my galaxy s9 it worked perfect with no internet.

When we had an internet outage, I would screen mirror Hulu live from my s9.

Anyone get this to work with a pixel phone and no internet?

I looked for a pixel forum to post this but there is every other manufacturer except Google.

LG uses Miracast for screen casting which the Samsung S9 has, but the Pixel unfortunately does not.

I agree. I was just wondering if anyone with a pixel 4a 5g and Chromecast got the mirroring to work with no internet connection
