Fees for adding smart watch

I searched and couldn't find an answer for this. I also posted the question in the Verizon watch section but got no response.

If I add an Apple Watch line to my account, other than the $10 monthly fee, what other fees are there? Does Verizon charge another Administrative fee, Federal Universal Service fee, 911 fees, etc. Fees on my cell phone come to almost $5. If I have to pay that on the watch line, it will add 50% to the $10.

I went online and did a Verizon website chat session two different times and both times the chat csr said that there are no fees added for the $10 watch line. I got the same answer at Best Buy talking with their "cellular specialist". However, I did a Google search and every discussion I found on the subject said that the watch line would be charged the same fees as a cell phone.

So, are those csr's and Best Buy folks just lying to make a sale? What about those fees, some of you who have added a watch line?

I was under the impression that it is only an additional $10 and there are no additional taxes/fees as the watch shares the same phone # as an associated cell phone.

I know with Verizon and Sprint that I did not pay any additional amount on my Samsung S3 watch did not have the ability to make or receive calls unless I was within Bluetooth range of my cell phone. I recently confirmed that with T-mobile that if I wanted a newer Samsung watch that I would pay the additional $10 monthly charge only for the watch.

You don't have to add a line for the watch, you can just use it via bluetooth or wifi to connect to the iphone, but must have the iphone with you at all times. That doesn't cost anything other than the cost of the phone.

However, adding a line for the watch costs $10 and you can leave the cell phone at home. The watch has it's own phone line, but answers to the cell phones number.

Yes, look at 3 to 5 bucks in the usual fees/surcharges/taxes. Should be less tho as it's based on the $10/mo charge as opposed to your more expensive account/line fees for a smartphone.

Still won't be as bad as ATT, I was at $7.80/mo in add'l charges on top of the $10 access charge. Absurd. VZW for me is about $3.30/mo.

Wish either one would match TMO's $5/mo flat 500MB wearable plan, that's the price it should be IMO.
