Given your moderate planned use, you could probably get by with some other plan with 30 GB a month. Those will probably be more like $50 a month. Figure on about 1 GB per hour of video streaming. Email and web browsing don't amount to much.
I'm currently on a grandfathered T-Mobile 55+ plan paying $60 for two lines and it is mostly OK, but after I use up the high-speed hotspot data it is almost unuseable at what they call "3G speed." An option for me would be to upgrade to the new Magenta Max 55+ with I think 40GB of hotspot data at full speed. That would mostly cover me, but would be $90 for two lines. Still a good deal, but one issue I have is that T-Mobile coverage isn't the greatest several places I go to.

Today, all of the sudden, my speeds were 5mps down.

Does anyone know if they are now throttling everyone? Even the ones who they weren't throttling for the last few months?
My speeds used to be unthrottled. The 5mb cap started for me about last September. Many places I go I'm lucky to get 5mb speed anyway. The great Verizon deprioritization.

Is Visible lifting the hotspot 5 Mbps speed cap at select times & locations depending on network congestion? I hadn’t run a hotspot speed test in a long time & I just got these results.

Is that the speed on the Visible phone? Speed on the Visible phone is not throttled.

No. That speed was from an iPad tethered to the Visible iPhone.

    Hotspot Speeds?

I have my Mac hotspot to my iPhone and I frequently get 20mbps during the day/high use times. Overnight (3am), I get 30mbps+. In fact, the slowest hotspot speed I’ve clocked has been 8mbps. (All tests on Ookla phone location in same spot, just different times of day)

    Best I get & it's very inconsistent is 5mbps down & 2mbps up.

    Addendum:
The previous speeds were for my iPhone 6. When I put the sim in my IPhone SE2020, then I only get 5.5 mbps down.

So, maybe they lock it down by age/type of phone....

Not a big deal to me, as I use my 6 as my hotspot and my SE when I work.
