Swapping sim to a different phone on postpaid

Can I temporarily use a different device on my account by putting the sim card in a different phone? I have a Galaxy s20+ with device payments and bill credits but there are times when Id rather carry an older phone. I'm pretty sure the sim swap will work but wouldn't want to lose bill credits on the s20+ by using a different phone on my account. Thanks!

I never had any problem when swapping the SIM. Kept the same phone # and plan/features. The carrier really doesn't care much as long as you continue making payments as scheduled IMHO.
