HSN offering two new model LG Rebel phone K31 with 1500 M/T/D promotional for $99. Never seen a deal like this before.
https://www.hsn.com/products/lg-2-pa...testex/9806721
The new LG Rebel phone model got pretty good specifications:
Android 10.0
5.7" HD+ Notch Display
32 GB storage
dual 13MP & 5MP wide-angle camera
Oh great! Just the temptation I don't need!

Same here. I'm good for phones til verizon runs outta tracfone....Tough selling thm around here I put a LG rebel 3 on marketplace for 30 bucks w/$15 dlolar activation card- no interest. Added a refurb rebel 3 with add'l $15 card for 50 bucks and got one nibble but no sale. Tougher than trying to sell amway!
Are these okay phones? I asked because I referred my sister to this deal. Her 4 or 5 year old tracfone quit working yesterday and she is looking for a new phone. Sister and BIL only have one cell phone and she would like to have 2...one for each of them.
Her current phone is an older LG tracfone so it is not like she is going from a top of the line phone. I think this phone would be a small step up for her unless there are issues I don’t know about.
Although I wouldn't touch TF for myself, I thought about gifting them to an older couple I kind of look after.
The price seemed to good to be true until I checked the specifications on the HSN web site:
Key Specs
Operating System: Android 10.0
Mode: CDMA
Style: Bar
TalkTime: 11.3 hours
Standby Time: 13.8 days
Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.0; Wi-Fi capable
Camera: Dual 13MP/5MP rear-facing, 5MP front-facing
International Compatibility: Yes, but limited
If the phones are only CDMA, they'll be obsolete soon.
I'd rather send the couple the cash and tell them to spend it on whatever they like.

HSN hasn't cleaned up that CDMA info on their Tracfones for years. It is incorrect. The phone may, or may not, have CDMA, but the phones also have VoLTE to be compatible with Verizon after December 2021.
Verizon hasn't allowed activation of non-VoLTE phones on MVNOs for something like two years - no exceptions. HSN is not selling incompatible phones - just bad web page info.
Looks OOS now
Was just able to place an order for one set of two phones. Interesting bundle. Figured I'd lock in the deal now since they have extended holiday returns til the end of January. Have a couple of #'s I want to keep and they're on Tello now. $5/mo for unlimited text and 100 min is a good deal but I'd rather pay $50 for the year with limited service AND a phone, on Verizon.
Castrol EDGE 0W-20 is my drug of choice.
Primary: iPhone 12 eSIM; Samsung A71 5G
Secondary: TracFones: iPhone 12 dual-SIM [AT&T] & iPhone XS [Verizon]; Cricket: iPhone SE 2nd gen
Mobile Broadband: ZTE Z917 LTE hotspot (5GB for $10)
Looks to be available again. No black cases left.
I went to order this, and the website said "we couldn't place your order, please call customer care." So I called the number on the website, and the lady who I connected to was able to push it through for me.
This will be great to replace my current glovebox phone which is also on a one-year TracFone deal I got last year.
It's not the end of the world, but all of my airtime on my current glovebox phone expires in January unless I refill it. Do these bundles come with one of the actual cards? Or is there a way to combine my current airtime with one of these? Phone number doesn't matter since it's just a backup phone. I still have about 1200 minutes, texts, and 1GB of data on the one that's about to expire.
Don't know if they come with a service card, but probably not. They haven't done that in a while. Yes you can add your current phone to the new phone. Ask to activate the new phone with a transfer from the old phone. Time and service units will add to the new phone time and service units. Doing it by chat is recommended.
