Is 5G worth an extra $10 per month on New Verizon Plan?

Would you pay an extra $10 per month to have access to the 5G network? Right now I will only have one 5G phone on a 10 line account. I see no benefit, but just curious what other users think.

From Verizons FAQ page, 5G isnt included in this plan.

From Verizon’s FAQ page, 5G isn’t included in this plan.
Other than showing 5G on the top line of the screen for bragging rights it does not make any practical difference in 2020 and is unlikely to matter much in 2021 either.

There will be more 5G deployed and better and more reasonably priced 5G phones next year and the following years. I just bought a LTE phone in June. I don't expect to need a new phone for several years.

I will admit that the marketing hype is getting to me. I do want one, but I'm pretty good at resisting frivolous purchases.

Agreed, I don't find an extra cost as legitimate until more users have 5G devices and that the technology is deployed in more/most markets. I can stream movies on my Samsung Galaxy S9+ just fine on the 4G (VOLTE) network. I agree that having an enabled device and available 5G access is merely bragging rights and 99 % of customers don't really need it yet.
    Just another day in paradise.....

Nationwide 5G is included( It's included in ALL plans even prepaid ) the UWB 5G isn't and if you really wanted the UWB 5G why not switch to Play or Do More?

He has 10 lines so it doesn't make sense to switch to the new mix and match.

My point is that 5G is non-existent in many markets and may be so for more than a few years.

    +1

Me, too. I am doing all that I can to stick it out until Fall 2021 devices are available. Patience should still be a virtue. (My family member, who has the Phone 6, will make a modest 4G LTE upgrade soon. She has been patient.)

I will not pay 10.00 more until they make us/me. Don't think 5g will ever get to me with higher speeds 4g.

Since the $10 applies to UWB only, nah.

5G UW. 5G Nationwide will improve greatly. I heard that Verizon was adding an addition 20 million people covered by 5G nationwide by the end of the year. That would mean 2/3 of people would be covered by then. if they keep adding people at hat pace( 2 million a week average ) that means by the end of 2021, 324 million covered. Even if it's half that, it would mean over 270 million or 82% coverage

Will be nice once 5G is common enough to be lumped into the rate plan.
