Upgrading LG X Charge (used for Freedompop cdma) to Android 8?

This Sprint compatible phone was a decent deal for $30 at Best Buy last year (2019).
i think many people here in HoFo bought this phone.

i think i used it for Tello then Freedompop cdma. (or vice versa)

anyway, it's been a paperweight this year.
but supposedly, there's an Android 8 upgrade for it:

i connected my phone to wifi and did a system update.
it said i had the latest updates.

Anyone manage to update it to Android 8?
If so, how?

The Sprint version of the LG X Charge is SP320. I don't see that version mentioned on the page you linked to.

It looks like the latest (and probably the final) software update for The Sprint version is SP32010j which brought it to Android security patch level January 2019 so if that's what you have there's no further update available. https://community.sprint.com/t5/LG/S...9/td-p/1033580

I have LG X Charge LG-M322 from Xfinity Mobile. It is in the list, but no upgrade to Android 8.
