    GUDP plansí prices increased exponentially!

Is it time to just give them up as I already have AT&T hotspots and sprint plans plus one Verizon $65 unlimited jet pack plan. The gUDP plans have gone upwards of $85.

I just gave up my two AT&T gUDP hotspots. Couldnít justify $151 per month.

Of course my two Verizon 8800L Jetpacks pale in comparison.

    No Ethernet
    Terrible battery life
    Only 15GB before hard throttle

Of course theyíre only $10 / month so I guess you get what you pay for.

I had one originally on 1X, then 3G. I got rid of mine a long time ago, I didn't want massive overages or to have data shut off; having a "throttle cap" doesn't bother me at all. Currently on the (from a year or two back) one where you have 15GB hotspot then a 600kbps hotspot throttle (and 22GB deprioritization.) 600kbps is not great but I can get by on it fine.

But my plans are truly unlimited with no slow down. The price they are charging me is my issue. I mean is it worth it to be paying $80+ ? Also the speeds arenít so good either.

Personally the only alternative that I could possibly get (after spending a few thousand $ on a tower) with comparable speeds is $100/mo

So I wouldn't like paying $80+/mo for it but I would as i've got no alternative and I really like having speeds like this
Then after spending a few grand on a tower and then $100/mo that would only get me 50/5Mbps.

Looks like the next potentially viable option we're going to get out here is going to be starlink.

If you donít have internet providers in your area then thatís a different story.

What are you talking about? I just got my bill from Verizon and it hasn't gone up and I haven't received anything from them indicating that they are going to raise my rates.

How were AT&T gUDP hotspots $75 a piece?

I had the truly unlimited post paid plan from 2018 or so. The first line was like $100 dollars or so, and each additional like was $20 or so. With taxes and fees itís $151.

I used to have 5 lines on this plan ó 3 phones and two hotspots. It was $224 or so.

But then my wife wanted to switch. So I ported the 3 phones to Verizon, added a 4th phone, and two add on Jetpacks all for $220.

Happy with Verizon except for the lack of Jetpack data.

I still have my ATT Unlimited Plus hot spot lines. They are amazing. Unlike Verizonís gudp lines, there is no video throttling currently being enforced. Even though they did add the terminology to the plan.

Are the hotspots subject to network management?

Yes. But unlike Verizon you seldom see any slow downs on ATT.
