Shouldn't be a surprise for anyone. We all know it would happen sooner or later.

I'm going to have to retire my indestructible Nokia Lumia 521.

You could use this as your excuse to upgrade to a Lumia 640!

I'm currently have a Nokia 3220b with my legacy GR PAYGO account (for voice/text only, no data/MMS). "Backup" phone (I don't carry it around), I use it once in a while to play some games I installed there. My first phone that came with a camera and internet.

I've got a Nokia 6010, which was the first cell I obtained back in 2005. I use it as my main alarm clock still!

    Nokia 6010 still going

My son is still using a Nokia 6010 that I handed down to him long ago. It still works in his part of Houston. Gave him a Samsung J3 on Tello so he could get on Zoom. He hasn't figured it all out yet.
So now I'll get the Nokia back and salvage the Legacy SIM out of it. Loved the "Tinnng, Tonnng" ring tone. Had to upgrade when Tmo quit 1x on my local tower.

Anybody still needing to replenish Tmobile, go to Sam's Club online, the $10 card is $9.65, no tax. Emails the pin # to you.

Has anyone heard directly from T-Mobile?

Before AT&T shut down 2G in 1/2017, there were many warnings as early as one year in advance (1/2016). AT&T also started to offer free upgrade options in 5/2016.

Is there a way to cash out Pay As You Go - Legacy balance directly with T-Mobile?

2G will be around well longer than 2020 on the T-Mobile network. There has not been a published date for 2G or 3G at this point.
