New compact Samsung phone on HSN

This new Samsung Galaxy A01 (5.7") doesn't look too bad for sale price of $69 with 1500M/T/D. It is very compact (5.02"W x 2.79"L x 0.328"H) and body is smaller than its 5" brother (J3). With Dual 13 MP + 2 MP rear Camera and Android 10.0 OS.

The dimensions given at HSN are wrong. I trust this site more https://gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_a01-9999.php

Maybe because it is smaller, but you get more screen. It is actually smaller than my 5.2" Moto G5+ and weighs less but has a larger screen with the same battery. Only shortcoming is the 16GB.. nowadays need at least 32.

With its actual dimension being 5.76 x 2.79 x 0.33 in (thanks hpham), it did kind of lost its appeal for being short-bodied (or pocket friendly ). Was hoping for something smaller since my service days will run out in couple of months.

I have that one and the Samsung A10e.
They are virtually the same exact size.

Exactly. My comment "where does the compact come in" was tongue in cheek sarcasm.

Thanks for that note SnowyWhite. Do you have preferences for either phone since both seem to have advantages/disadvantages. A10e having double the memory (32 GB) seem to be only major upgrade from A01 model (16 GB).

Lets say in case of Samsung A01, the compact never came in. It was DOA

Aside from the 32GB I think that I like them about the same.

The A10e just updated to Google 10 a week or a few days ago.

So both of them are running Android 10 now.
