    Question about buying service on website

    I'm trying to buy the one year of service add on for my SO's old dumb flip phone. When I delete the card I added in order for the one year of service to be offered, the order page disappears. I've done this for several years and it's worked fine. Has this been changed? Is there another work around?

    Sounds like it could be a glitched page. I know Tracfone likes to do maintenance at night.

    Since you said that you have an old flip phone, what towers are you on? If you are Verizon based towers, you might need to upgrade your phone before start the of 2021 at least.

    The phone is on AT&T so he should be good for a while.

    I tried to buy the year's service on a chrome book which uses Google Chrome browser. I could put FireFox on it if you think that will help.

    Right now on Chrome it will not even allow you to remove any items from the cart after adding in the one year service.

    I have now tried Chrome, FireFox and DuckDuckGo on my Chrome book and none of them will let me remove the time card and leave the add on 1 year service for the old dumb flip phone. Has anybody tried doing this recently? Does it still work on any type of phone?

    It has been a couple of months since I did this. Looking at it today, it doesn't work. If you delete the airtime card, the whole cart goes empty. It may be a deliberate decision on Tracfone's part.

    You don't need to add a phone to your account to apply an airtime PIN to it. All you need is the phone number.

    I don't need a pin, I'm trying to buy the add on 1 year service. The phone is already in my account.

    Can you get the 1 year of service to show up when adding a $10 30-day card? If so, just buy both, pay the extra $10.

    Now I have to sign in after I pick a plan and before the cart shows up to pick the add-on. I haven't had a problem getting the add-on to show up. The problem is deleting the card, which causes the page to go back to choices of cards.

    I just tried on a PC using FireFox and am getting the same results as on the chromebook. I suspect Tracfone's procedure has changed.
