No such thing's IMEI is registered with T-Mobile.
It is the SIM card registers on T-Mobile

I was going on about how sometimes depending on what device I知 using the my T-Mobile website can identify my mobile device. I知 referring to devices that are not sold via T-Mobile. Example , my huawei device purchased from the UK was recognized on my T-Mobile , but the current iPhone isn稚.
I know with some non T-Mobile Android devices , certain functionality would be missing like being able to turn WiFi calling on or off or connecting to band 12. Those are just a few examples that come to mind.

thats an android thing. with apple, it will or it will not identify as an iphone... regardless, everything will work on your iphone the way it suppose to.
like Limey said, there is no such thing as an IMEI thing for features...

I switched from Sprint to T-mobile on May 1 with an original iPhone SE. I verified the IMEI with T-mobile to confirm it could be used with a current plan without having to buy a new cell phone. Works like a charm and all features work. The IMEI was only required to confirm network compatibility with the phone and was not needed to confirm any specific features would or would not work.
    Just another day in paradise.....

I found a useful website that lists a bunch of different phones (unlocked or from other carriers) on whether or not they support VoLTE and WiFi calling and the 600MHz band and B12 http://www.spectrumgateway.com/compatible-phones
