Blast from the past: Moto v710 Short Film

    You guys remember this?

I had this phone at the time. I remember feeling so technologically advanced owning it and I definitely remember this creepy film:

I don't recall having that particular phone, but it was a nice trip down memory lane to a time when mobile phones were a lot more fun and interesting to me.

The first color screens and cameras, GSM vs CDMA debates, Get It Now (and GAGIN), the Motorola T720 drama, Verizon crippling Bluetooth, etc.

I had the v710... got an e815 for EvDo, but ended up back on the v710 with 1x so I could have Analog support in a few spots in BFE Ohio (Which, ironically never got any digital service replacement even to this day)

That was one of the few phones you could get that was not trashed with Verizon's garbage UI.
T-Mobile: Magenta Amplified (airline employee plan)
Visible: $25 “toy” SIM card to throw in whatever’s secondary.

Ooooh I hated VZW's UI. The e815 was a favorite of mine. I passed it on to my wife who used it for a long time.

I eventually ended up with a Razr I had flashed with Alltel firmware, and kept that until I ended up on Sprint with a $30/mo SERO plan.. and I kept that for years (luckily our market the data never was too bad)

Do *not* remind me. I've got an old peach rotary that hangs around in the living room and my niece came in and asked me if it was charging.
