Yep that’s right I bet dish has no mystery partner. Notice very little leaks or fake news about how some tower company said this or that about dish. I think this is Dish networks Charlie biggest poker con.

Same question here. I thought Dish gets Boost as part of the Merger. What is the hold up?

Nothing in life or business is free. DISH gets to buy Boost for a given amount. They still need to come up with the $$.

Anyone knows what happens if Dish decides for whatever reason that they aren't going to buy Boost Mobile?
Manners cost nothing, and also have the added benefit of making a man. You know, it is entirely possible to rise above others, without stooping to pushing them under, and putting them down.

Excellent video Shilo, thanks for sharing.

Dish has a real opportunity here if they don't muck it up. I honestly think they should rebrand everything to Sling. At least make it the more visible of the two. Kinda Comcast/Xfinity Charter/Spectrum.

They're not pressed, they get unfettered roaming on T-Mobile for several years and are only going to build a 5G network.

One thing is for sure, this will be Charlie's last rodeo one way or another.

That's the best idea I've heard about branding this.

Yeah, I think they need to learn from Comcast and Charter... Dish name alone is no longer viable.

Dish will have a big job ahead of them when they start network deployment.

Will they rename boost mobile to sling mobile?
Will they call the post paid something like Americana Mobile?

Yep I don’t think dish will fully build out. They will sell to att or show how merge with direct tv thus a whole new anti trust because of att cricket. Then they will pay a fine which will be trump change to them as they cash out.

5G only? Yeah... that’ll work out well. They’d be better off turning it into an MVNO.

    But they already are, essentially.

DISH will have a seven-year MVNO agreement with New T-Mo as a result of the Boost purchase.

The theory is that by 2027, DISH will have built out a decent 5G-only network, and and everyone's phones will be 5G, just as virtually everyone's phones currently have 4G/LTE today, roughly seven years after LTE was originally deployed.

As a dumb analogy, look at Visible. It's an LTE-only version of Verizon. That would've been a horrible idea in 2013, but in 2020 it's a decent carrier. In 2027, the need to fallback to 4G should be about as necessary as the need to fallback on 2G today.
