Thanks a bunch for explanation JaTaN, much appreciated!

Yes, targeted promo by text message -- seen some people mention it on other sites

Mine says the same for 8/8. So if I "pay" now with a $15 card from Target --- do you think they will say another $15 is due on 7/15?

I honestly would wait and see what happens because of the fact that you would hate to make a payment now and then later on the price comes up more and you have to pay more if you rather not pay more just wait it out a little and see if the price goes up. If it goes up then can look into around then to make a change

Yep, I'm waiting. I turned off the auto-pay feature on callingmart for the $15 card without the $1 extra fee.

On my account portal I clicked in plans and services, then I scroll down to Discontinued plan. 2GB. @ 15.00 per month. I clicked the little "I" button. Instead of Grandfathered plan, it now says Discontinued plan. With a message indicating the discontinued plan will be moved to 30.00 plan, after July 14 renewal, in this case my plan renews August 1. I have 40.00 credit including 25.00 referral credit. So in August I will either port to H20 or just let go this account and let it lapse, and forego 10.00 credit. Either way nice knowing you cricket it was fun while this promo lasted

On that note with my plan going up also I’m prob going to Verizon prepaid with a buddy of mine for their loyalty discounts plus you can get their unlimited plan with hotspot with discounted refills which isn’t bad at all. I also like how you can use an app to monitor your usage I wish att prepaid did it but I guess I didn’t mind the site too much

No text or email notification of any price changes.

Plan set to renew on 7/31

    Amount due: $15

    I’m not on Auto Pay

“The Internet wasn’t meant to be metered in bits and bytes, so it’s insane that wireless companies are still making you buy it this way. The rate plan is dead — it’s a fossil from a time when wireless was metered by every call or text.” John Legere 1/5/2017

Right it may not show it yet but many are getting the notifications regarding the change on the 15th which we are only 2 days away. So I will report back here if I see a jump on my plan and I’m sure others will too

I looked at the memo (for Cricket customers) that was leaked on reddit a couple of days before the text officially announced the end of the $15 plan. That memo said that a text would be sent out to customers 13 days before being switched over to the $30/2GB plan telling tem that they needed to switch plans by 8 days before their renewal date or be switched over automatically. This has not happened to my knowledge as I haven't seen any report on this. I'm going to have some fun and speculate that there will be an extension. We'll see tomorrow.

Edit: Upon further review there was a DP on SD where the 13 day warning text was sent out. So I may be wrong in my guess.
