    COVID-19 2 GB for $15 plan

$15/month for 2 GB data and unlimited talk & text, which matches T-Mobile’s new plan (but doesn’t include the free 0.5 GB increase every year for the next 5 years) https://www.fiercewireless.com/opera...-amid-covid-19

Looks like the att plan may not shut the data off completely when you use it up like T-Mobile does. If so that's a plus for the att plan

I can't find any links to sign up for this plan on the at&t website. Only Cricket... very interesting.

They don't make it easy to find. Here it is at AT&T Prepaid:

An att employee told me after 90-120 days the price goes up to $35 for everyone and that includes those that sign up at the $15 price

Makes sense due to the price saying subject to change

If that is actually true, it's unfortunate. Hopefully just a rumor, I would think AT&T would advertise it as a 3 or 4 month plan if so.

We've got a thread over on the AT&T Prepaid forum: https://www.howardforums.com/showthr...ith-Some-Plans

AT&T took their time to roll it out yesterday (first for existing customers to change to it, then for new customers to sign up...browser cache and cookie issues seemed to cause it not to appear either). Unlike a lot of promo plans, both AT&T Prepaid and Cricket show "pricing subject to change" which feels a bit ominous.

It does seem odd. Although all prepaid plans state pricing is subject to change in the fine print.

Putting it front and center like that has to mean something.

Yep, there's always the boilerplate legalese in the fine print and we all know that with prepaid (and even some postpaid plans), the provider could change things. Most of the time they won't for the worse as people are free to leave, but having that listed in big text without it being buried seems like someone at AT&T is being extra careful.

I suspect they only plan to leave it around for the main duration of the pandemic. Temporary help for those who have lost their jobs.
iPhone 11 is my current primary phone. But I have more phones than lines. Back to only Prepaid with the changes in the economy.
