My understanding is that this is a limited time offer.
Will existing customers be grandfathered when it expires or will we have to select a different plan?

That's the million-dollar question: if you need service, go with either this or Cricket's $15 plan and enjoy the lower price for the time being and if it stays at that rate, great. If it goes up, you kind of assumed it going in. While they usually grandfather plans, the text "price subject to change" is usually not posted as prominently for either, so that's where a few of us are a little cautious.

The T-Mobile Connect $15 plan is going to stay at that price for a few years, as it was offered to smooth things over so the merger would go through.

This is a spare line that I inherited from my mom and will be converting from a paygo plan.
It has a $200+ balance that I'm trying to figure how to make use of.
Have been considering one of the higher priced monthly plans just for the additional data. Basically, I've been sitting on it for 6 months.

On this 2GB Promo Plan is there any way to place a call from Mexico or Canada back to the United States? I'm assuming the answer is "no", but I did not see this clearly spelled out anywhere. It would be nice to have the ability to do so in case of an emergency while traveling.

No is correct. If you click on "Read the legal stuff" it says:

    Plan Details 2GB $15/mo.

    Plan Details ‒ $15 a month

Talk: Includes unlimited calling in the U.S.

Messaging: Includes unlimited text, picture, and video messaging within the U.S. and from the U.S. to Mexico, Canada and more than 100 countries. See countries at att.com/prepaidintltext.

Koodo: Unlimited Canada Talk, World Text, 8+9 GB Data
AT&T: Unlimited talk & text in and between the U.S., Canada, & Mexico, 8+17 GB data

The ability to buy the $15 plan ends or the $15 plan goes back to $35?

The ability to get the 15 plan ends then. But for those who got it is when I am wondering what the price will be after the promo ends

I doubt it, unless they also update the $35 plan to match the 2GB data allowance, and even if they do it, they would be effectively increasing the price more than 2X to those in the $15 plan. I'm sure most wouldn't stay.

I also doubt that they will keep the $15 plan as it is. They will probably increase the price (but no to $35) and get rid of the $35 plan, or merge those two plans somewhere in the middle. That is my guess.

If I had to bet, I'd bet the $15 plan will be grandfathered.

What do you mean you used an H20 sim card to activate this plan? I know H2O uses AT&T but aren't the sims H20 specific? I ask because I have a H20 sim I bought unused last summer 2019.

Yes, it does offer WF calling. I signed up yesterday with the 2GB plan. It also includes rollover which T-Mobile plan does not. AT&T‘s 2 GB plan does not shut you off after 2 GB, it throttles your speed unlike T-Mobile’s plan.
