    Is anybody else peeved these sub 8 figure fines are peanuts to these billion dollar companies? The FCC might as well ask for free ice cream for a month instead.

    Couldn't care less. The whole system is rigged anyway. The FCC knows that these companies are going to pull crap like this, and the whole fine system is a wink wink, nod nod money grab for the FCC/government. In the end, the bottom line is that we the consumers and customers are the ones getting bent over. You think these corporations are going to simply pay for these fines by reducing executive salaries/bonuses, or taking it out of their profits? Nope, they'll always pass it along to us by raising prices or cutting corners to make up the difference. We lose in the end no matter how you slice and dice it.

    So, do I really want the FCC fining them a billion dollars that I'll eventually wind up having to pay for? Yeah, no.
