I have the FreeUp "Free Plan 500 Total Minutes & Texts + 100MB 4G LTE Data".

But, although I ordered it 12/11/18, I finally just activated it on 3/18/20, and I've used around 5 minutes and 20MB so far this first cycle.

I have never received an email from FreeUp since the original email FreeUp sent to verify my email address in 2018.

I can't remember what I've seen reported; how soon does the renew link usually show up?

freeupmobile.com currently shows "Your Custom Freeup Plan Plan Renewal Date: Apr. 17th $0.00/mo" in my Account Summary.

Hmm.. I can sort of see how the press 1 call screening would be ignored by carrier vm. It's nice to at least have both options. With some carriers (cricket!), the reps are too incompetent to disable carrier vm. It's doable, been done in the past, but could not be done recently (or maybe I just wasn't persistent enough). So the only option there was to configure CCF to the gv number - not idea as I don't use the carrier number for anything.

You'll get the renew notification (when you login) 7-8 days before renewal. So any day now.

Thanks! It was the "popup". I disabled a popup blocker, and it appeared. Thanks for the reminder!

Mine shows 500 in both the min. and text buckets after renewed (was on the 1k minutes or texts plan). But after I did a couple of test phone calls (10-15 seconds each) and sent a text, both buckets now show 497. It looks like a 500 minutes or texts behavior to me.

Thanks for the heads-up! I just loaded an ad-blocker on my chromebook, so I will disable it for the FreeUP site.
You probably saved me a headache next month wondering why I didn't get the pop-up.

You're welcome! But remember, it was GPz1100 that reminded ME!

I wonder what ad blockers you're using? I'm using ublock origin and privacy badge in firefox. Didn't have to make any change to prevent the popup. I find ublock to be less resource intensive than adblock+.

My renewal shows that, too. But my renewal date is 4/17/20, so I'll have to wait to see what it actually says on 4/18/20, the day after the renewal.

It looks like your plan renews on 4/25/20, so I guess you can check what it says on 4/26/20.

That's just sloppy site maintenance. They haven't updated the wording on the pop-up to reflect the current reality.

As suspected, in the usage section, it now shows:
    Next Payment:
    May. 17th
    Data Remaining:
    -
    Minutes Remaining
    250
    Texts Remaining
    250

But under "Your Custom Freeup Plan" it still shows:
    Plan Renewal Date: May. 17th
    Free Plan
    500 Total Minutes & Texts + 100MB 4G LTE Data
    $0/MO

    So...sloppy website.

    Is that a paid plan?
Most of us now report 250 + 250.
Even though the banner still says 1000.

Same here. Has been this way ever seen the email notification of the reduced plan.

    Not a paid plan.

Still says 1000 on the plan banner.

Works exactly as the old 1000 min OR text, except now it is 500 in each box and they get decreased both at the same time with each unit of usage.

Friend who signed up at the same time as me gets 250 min and 250 text and each one draws down independently.

It winds up being the same deal EXCEPT mine can mix/match any combo of min or text and others are allocated a max of 250 each which can total 500 but have a lower individual cap.

It is the same deal only if you talk less than 250 minutes and do less than 250 texts in a month. If you need more talk minutes than texts or vice versa, one is better than the other. I don't text with my FreeUP number and welcome the possibility that I can talk up to 500 minutes/month with it.
