I got the “When your plan renews during the April 2020 billing cycle, your line will be automatically migrated to the new free plan offering which provides 250 minutes of talk and 250 text messages per month” back on March 11.

I resubscribed today and my account page still shows 1000 calls or texts for Apr 18.

It will renew to 500 calls or texts despite what that says; that is what has been everyone's experience so far.

Just to follow up. My plan renewed yesterday with 250 in each bucket. The minutes and texts are now counted separately.
Today I have 243 minutes and 232 texts left.

    Wonder who's getting the 500 min/texts vs 250. I was on the 1K/1K plan and got 250/250.

If you previously had voice mail disabled on your freeup number, you'll need to disable it again.

When they switched plans, VM appears have been reset as well.

Got this email a few hours ago.

Thank you for contacting FreeUP Mobile. We have removed the voicemail feature from mobile number 1231231234. Unanswered calls will now hear, "The person you are trying to reach is not available". Please be advised - If the rate plan is changed, or expires, the voicemail services may re-provision. If that happens, please let us know and we can remove the voicemail again from the account.
This confirms my theory above about the plan change bringing this issue back. This is mostly an issue if you use gv with the freeup number being one of those forwarded to. The voice mail system grabs the call rather than allowing other linked numbers to ring.

I have GV set where I have to accept a call by pressing "1", so that no individual phone can highjack the call. If the phone's voicemail were to activate, it would only hear GV instructions, not the call itself.
In addition I set the number of rings on each phone to the max so that the call usually is answered or goes to GV voicemail before the phone's voicemail tries to grab it.

^^What happens if one of those phones is in airplane mode? Number of rings don't come into play then.

In the described scenario, if one of the phones is in airplane mode, it has no affect, since "1" can't be pressed on it. The call remains active until one of the forwarding phones picks up and presses "1" or it times out and GV voicemail picks up.
